About Andy Shields
Andy Shields is a senior automotive executive and consultant with over 26 years of international experience spanning OEMs, vehicle rental, leasing, automotive finance, retail, remarketing and vehicle valuation technologies.

Throughout his career, Andy has held senior executive and C-suite leadership positions, combining strategic advisory expertise with direct operational leadership, commercial accountability and hands-on delivery. Unlike traditional advisory-only consultants, Andy has personally led international businesses, built and restructured sales organisations, developed new operational capabilities and managed complex transformation programmes.

His expertise ranges from global commercial strategy and business transformation to used vehicle operations, remarketing, residual value (RV) forecasting, data analytics and financial governance.
​
A graduate Mechanical Engineer, Andy also holds qualifications in Automotive Finance from the University of Warwaick and Artificial Intelligence from London Business School.

Indicata - International Growth and Innovation
In 2019, at the request of a client, Andy assumed global leadership of Indicata, the used vehicle valuation, market intelligence and residual value forecasting business within the Autorola Group.

Over the following six years, he led a period of significant international growth and innovation. Under his leadership, the business tripled in size, expanded its operations to 19 countries and launched an innovative residual value forecasting capability.

​
This role combined international business leadership, commercial accountability, technology development and the application of advanced data analytics to automotive valuation and decision-making.
Today
Andy has returned to leading USD Consulting, providing independent strategic advisory, market assessment and transformation services to automotive manufacturers, leasing and rental businesses, automotive finance providers, major management consultancies and private equity investors.

His approach brings together the strategic perspective of a senior adviser and the practical experience of an executive who has been directly accountable for delivering results.
